The external battery of the T2c also allows users to swap out batteries for a full charge quickly and enables the T2c to use a larger 77Wh battery, while the integrated batteries of the Pixel Tubes give them a cleaner look that works better for in-camera practical lights. In terms of battery life and output, the T2c are more powerful than their Pixel Tube counterparts, partly due to the not needing to account for heat management of batteries within the tube housings. The Pixel Tubes’ individual light engines allow them to be used in more dynamic lighting scenarios requiring Pixel FX. The key differentiator between these two lights is the inclusion of multiple light engines and integrated batteries in the Pixel Tubes compared to the T2c. While the T2c and PT2c are both amaran tube lights, they have several points of differentiation regarding performance and application.
